Pollsters' Comments About Teams They Ranked

Cortland: Great job by the coaches getting this young team to come together at the right time. Could be awesome next year. (corkscrew) — #1--Showed great defense and goaltending to win championship. (general21111) — #1 ... Red Dragons pull it off ... Congrats to Cortland on a great year ... Young and dangerous ... Morgan is gone, but the depth and talent are plentiful ... Young Gaebel is a baller between the pipes. (goalielax10) — My #1. National champs. The Cortland defense and goalie took over the game, holding the Bullets without a goal in the second and third quarters as the scoreless drought spanned a total of 38:03. During that time, The Red Dragons were able to tie the game at the half 4-4. In the third quarter, Cortland pushed its lead to 9-4, as it outscored Gettysburg, 5-0, making it a 7-0 run for the national championship. (LaxUnlimited) — Won the NCAA tournament and its only two losses were in the the first half of the season by a total of five goals to teams with a combined record of 27-4. Little doubt they are #1. (laxweforget) — Great run and well deserved; North reigns for a year!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — Congrats to the Dragons, who left no doubt they were the best team. #1. (minkhoo) — Red Dragons #1 again. Four straight national championship game appearances and two titles. They could be back next year. (stamp) — #1 Earned the championship on Monday - not much difference between these guys and the Bullets on Sunday, but they made the adjustments needed to get the job done. Congrats! (stewlaxdad) — Turned it on when the going got tough - at the end of the season! Great work by the Red Dragons! Beat G'burg twice. (thatsmell) — New Number 1. Proved their worth at seasons end. (valaxfan) — #1 National champs. Lots of depth at the midfield and finished on attack. Big athletic D and a goalie who came up BIG when it counted most. Clearly the number team in the country. (wheniwasakid...)

Gettysburg: Everyone wondered who would come out of the South region, and the Bullets made the last run. A good, team all around that was clearly the best in the South in May. (corkscrew) — #2--Came on strong in second half of season to earn trip to the championship game. (general21111) — #2 ... Great recovery of what seemed like a season going awry early on ... Pucci and Kehoe will be missed. (goalielax10) — My #2. The Bullets won their sixth straight conference title. The offensive drought during the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the national championship have the Bullets once again walking away runners up to the national champs. (LaxUnlimited) — Proved it was the best in the South. Cortland was the only team it played and did not beat (split with Haverford and Stevenson). #3. (laxweforget) — Hats off to their perseverance; great coaching and program ... a few had them for dead early on this season. (MasonDixonLine29) — Bullets avenge every loss during the season but one. An exceptional coaching job by Janczyk, guiding this team to a Centennial championship and the final game after a 2-3 start. #2. (minkhoo) — Bullets ran out of gas in the finals. Great season overall. (stamp) — #2 Great turnaround from being declared dead by most folks in mid-March. Great job by the entire team and coaching staff. Should be back in the mix in 2010. (stewlaxdad) — After a rough start, had one heckuva season and finished with a Centennial championship and as the second hottest team in lacrosse. #2. (thatsmell) — Missed their chances late in the 1st half, which came back to haunt them at the end of the game. Great season! (valaxfan) — #2 A lot of people doubted the Bullets, but they rebounded and used a good D to compliment a quick, team-oriented O. (wheniwasakid...)

Stevenson: Great season, but just did not play well in semifinals. (corkscrew) — #4--Arrived as a program this year--beat Salisbury twice and Gettysburg and made it to tournament semifinals. (general21111) — #3 ... Seemed like the O and defense were only on the same page a few times this year ... all three attack should be back ... possible preseason #1 or 2. (goalielax10) — My #3. Great season for the Mustangs highlighted by the two wins over rival Salisbury and winning the Capital Athletic championship. (LaxUnlimited) — Went 2-1 against Salisbury, so I give it the edge for #4. (laxweforget) — Finally put to bed all nay-sayers; will make lacrosse in the South that much better. (MasonDixonLine29) — Very impressive season by the Mustangs, who show that they are one of the elite teams. #3. (minkhoo) — Great late season run by a club that will be in the national limelight for a while. (stamp) — #4 Great year for the Mustangs - only team to beat Salisbury twice in a season since the Bullets did it in 2002. Good to see somebody get competitive in the CAC. (stewlaxdad) — An absolutely great season, but alas, no hardware to show for it. Lots of talent returns. This team will be dangerous in 2010 too. #3. (thatsmell) — #5 Too much iso-dodging killed Stevenson when they played a good team defense in Gburg late in the season. Next year could be a bit of a rebuilding year, but Cantebene will get the Mustangs back to this stage again. (wheniwasakid...)

Middlebury: A new nemesis in Cortland, or Middlebury may have brought home another trophy. Now they must try and regroup and get over the northern Cortland juggernaut. (corkscrew) — #5--The class of the NESCAC again but could not play with Cortland. (general21111) — #4 ... I cant remember anytime this decade a Middlebury team gave up an avg. of over 10 goals a game for an entire season ... Who will replace Mike Stone? (goalielax10) — My #4. Tough loss in the final four against Cortland. Lose several key players to graduation. Was the class of the NESCAC, going 8-1 in the division during the regular season, only to lose 15-14 in OT in the NESCAC semifinal to Wesleyan. Their only three losses were to Wesleyan twice, 8-7 and 15-4, and to national champion Cortland. (LaxUnlimited) — #6. (laxweforget) — Fine season; top-notch NESCAC Team!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — Panthers ran into a Cortland buzz saw after a strong season and avenging two one-goal losses to Wesleyan. #4. (minkhoo) — Disappointing loss to Cortland in the semis after avenging both their losses to Wesleyan. I expected this club to be at Gillette. (stamp) — #3 Great to see these guys back at the top of the heap. (stewlaxdad) — I think the Panthers may have run out of gas against Cortland, but a fabulous season against one of the toughest schedules around. #4. (thatsmell) — #4 Great midfield, good attack, and a young D meant Middlebury was good but no match for Cortland's offense. (wheniwasakid...)

Western New England: A 6-5 loss to Cortland shows how good this defense was. Played well down the stretch. (corkscrew) — #3--Under the radar for most of the season, but handily beat Endicott and Tufts in tournament before one goal loss to Cortland. (general21111) — #10 ... Brewster Knowlton is young and only going to get better (scary) ... Coach K. did it with smoke and mirrors somehow this year. (goalielax10) — My #7. The Commonwealth Coast champions finish 9-0 in the division and 17-3 overall. Two of those 3 losses came against national champion Cortland 15-7 and 6-5. (LaxUnlimited) — Cortland was the only team it played that it did not beat (split with Tufts). I give it the edge over Gettysburg at #2 by virtue of fewer losses over the entire season. (laxweforget) — Represented the CCC well. (MasonDixonLine29) — CCC champ Golden Bears were not on a lot of radar screens at the beginning of the year but very nearly upset Cortland at the end. #10. (minkhoo) — Golden Bears almost knocked off eventual national champion Cortland on the road. Great season. (stamp) — #6 Great season - came OH SO CLOSE to knocking off Cortland in the quarters. (stewlaxdad) — Redeemed themselves against Tufts when it mattered. Almost took out the eventual champs. #6. (thatsmell) — #3 Closest game Cortland had all tourney. Athletic and skilled, the Golden Bears will be around for a while in the top 10 ... especially with their new young keeper. (wheniwasakid...)

Salisbury: An uncommon "rebuilding" year for the Gulls. I know the Gull fans will say "we just reload," but they did not in 2009. They will be back soon, because they were young and very good. (corkscrew) — #6--The dynasty showed it is vulnerable both in the CAC and D-III. (general21111) — #6 ... Berkman is gone, but the cupboard is far from bare ... Watch out for "J-Rod" next year ... Is it just a Bullet and Mustang thing?? Or will we see how far back to the pack they have come ... time will tell. (goalielax10) — My #6. Disappointing season for the Gulls at 16-4. Losing to Gettysburg, St. Mary's, and Stevenson twice should motivate the Gulls for next season. (LaxUnlimited) — Bad loss to St. Mary's. Otherwise its only losses are to teams I have ranked above it in my poll. (laxweforget) — Some would die for a season like this; Berkman will regroup and have them back in the Final 4 next year!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — Gulls come back from a couple CAC losses to win the conference. A great year for most teams but probably a bit disappointing on the Eastern Shore. #5. (minkhoo) — Not enough weapons this season to make it to the final dance. The Gulls will be back. (stamp) — #5 Definitely an off year for the Gulls, but they will be back in the top end of the mix again next year, but the good teams have no fear of them anymore. (stewlaxdad) — A solid team, with nice talent all over the field, but no team concept. Very un-Salisbury-like. This won't fly on the Eastern Shore. Look for the Gulls to be back in 2010 with a vengeance. (thatsmell) — #6 Take note of this finish because you might not see another poll with SU outside the top 5 for a long time. (wheniwasakid...)

Denison: A young and talented group. Need to play some better teams in 2010 but return some very good ball players. (corkscrew) — #7--Proved itself with big win over Roanoke in the tournament. (general21111) — #5 ... Any team but Gettsyburg in the South and they probably win, as the Bullets were just rolling ... Denison has grown on me, and the sky's the limit for the immediate future of this program. (goalielax10) — My #5. The NCAC champs came up short against Gettysburg in the NCAA tournament elite 8. The Big Red defeated heated rival OWU twice with ease. Had the best defense in the country in front of a freshman goalie. I was shocked not to see Minor or Burton as All-Americans. (LaxUnlimited) — Except for a bad early season loss to Randolph-Macon, its two losses were to teams I have ranked above it in my poll. (laxweforget) — Not on radar until the tourney started; made a believer out me!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — The Big Red flew a bit under the radar screen after a stunning opening loss, but announced themselves by a big win at Roanoke. #6. (minkhoo) — Big upset against Roanoke followed by a respectable effort against Gettysburg in the Elite 8. Very solid season. (stamp) — #9 Another very good year for the Big Red, impressive when you factor in the coaching change. (stewlaxdad) — This year wasn't a fluke. Talent all over the field. Re-established the Big-Red as a national power. #5. (thatsmell) — #8 This is the best team to come out of Ohio in years. Win over Noke was impressive in how they did it, even if Noke was overrated. (wheniwasakid...)

Wesleyan: Lost to Middlebury when it counted most. Still a good season. (corkscrew) — #8--Great year but could not beat Middlebury for third time in the tournament. (general21111) — #16 ... Only seem to lose to NESCAC foes ... IDK if that is a good or bad thing. (goalielax10) — My #8. Won their first NESCAC title. Tough loss to NESCAC foe Middlebury in the NCAA tournament elite 8 to end their season. (LaxUnlimited) — Two wins over Middlebury are the core of its resume. Other than the presumed quality of its NESCAC opponents, didn't play a great schedule. #12. (laxweforget) — Another fine NESCAC team; nice run and will only get better. (MasonDixonLine29) — Cardinals win the NESCAC by beating Middlebury twice but can't quite manage a third win. #7. (minkhoo) — Great late season run culminating in the Cardinals first ever NESCAC title. Changing of the guard next season with Killeen and Blumenthal taking ownership of a younger, new look Cardinals team. (stamp) — #8. (stewlaxdad) — Came on strong at the end of the season, defeating Tufts and Middlebury back to back, but may have ran out of gas. #8. (thatsmell) — #7 A rough way to end the spring for the team and the school but the Cardinals earned their stripes with a NESCAC title, a good revenge win and another trip to the Elite 8. (wheniwasakid...)

Roanoke: Tremendous season. Highest scoring team in country. Still a young team. Did not play best lax when it counted the most. Controversial call to take winning goal off the board vs. Generals in ODAC finals and Maroons never recovered. (corkscrew) — #11--Disappointing finish to record-setting season. (general21111) — #8 ... I do not know how to comment on this year's version of the Maroons ... I know losing two straight to end the year won't sit well in the off-season. (goalielax10) — My #9. Was undefeated at 17-0 heading into the final two weeks of the season. Their two losses came against Washington & Lee, 15-14, in the ODAC championship to end the regular season and to Denison in the NCAA tournament, 14-7. (LaxUnlimited) — Disappointing end to its season. 3-2 against teams in my Top 20. #11. (laxweforget) — Nice season but disappointed with end result. (MasonDixonLine29) — Maroons win 17 straight to open but end the year with two tough home losses, the last in the NCAA tournament. #12. (minkhoo) — Upset by Denison in the Sweet 16. I expected this club to make it to Gillette. (stamp) — #10 Great season until the end, when the wheels fell off big time. (stewlaxdad) — Probably the most potent Noke offenses ever, and that's saying something. Went 17-0 and then lost the two most important games of the season. #12. (thatsmell) — #13 Won a lot of games in a down ODAC year and exposed by Denison. (wheniwasakid...)

Ithaca: An overtime loss to Nazareth ended the Bombers' season. AQs giveth and taketh away. Still a great year for the Bombers, just a bad ending. (corkscrew) — #12--Loss to Nazareth cost them a chance to play for the championship. (general21111) — #7 ... Schedule, schedule, schedule ... Have to win the E8 tourney if they continue like this ... graduation maybe their bigger concern. (goalielax10) — My #14. Finishing 14-2 and not making the NCAA tournament is a tough way to end the season. Losing in the Empire 8 semifinal to Nazareth should motivate this team to actually win their division next season and get into the NCAA tourney. (LaxUnlimited) — Only two losses were to good, not great, E8 opponents. 1-0 against teams in my Top 20. #10. (laxweforget) — Well, most in the E8 picked the Bombers to be in Foxboro; need to reload as E8 will be stronger next year. (MasonDixonLine29) — Another victim of Pool C scarcity, the Bombers get upset in the E8 first round and don't get in the dance. Bid-worthy, but probably done in by upsets in CAC and ODAC tourneys. #9. (minkhoo) — Bombers didn't get the NCAA invite, but still a great season at 14 and 1. (stamp) — #15. (stewlaxdad) — 14-2 and a disappointing season? It's hard when you leave your fate in the hands of the committee. #10. (thatsmell) — #12 Another talented team to miss the NCAAs. Good idea to schedule Geneseo next year! Some close games here and there. (wheniwasakid...)

Washington & Lee: Finished up strong but lack of depth almost caught them vs. FDU. Big losses all over the field will test the coaching skills in 2010. (corkscrew) — #10--Redeemed season with wins over Lynchburg and Roanoke to win ODAC crown. (general21111) — #11 ... Generals are on the cusp. (goalielax10) — My #12. Finished 3rd in the ODAC behind Roanoke and Lynchburg. Ended up losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Gettysburg 15-10. (LaxUnlimited) — A team I had ranked all over the place in recent polls. In the end I am more a believer than not. The only teams it played and did not beat are ranked above it in my poll. #9. (laxweforget) — Proved they can compete with big boys in conference tourney; should be better next year. (MasonDixonLine29) — Generals overcome injuries to put it all together at the end of the year to win the ODAC and a first round NCAA game. #11. (minkhoo) — Squeaked by the first round only to fall in the Sweet 16 to Gettysburg. Overall a solid season for the Generals. (stamp) — #7 The Gennies are back! (stewlaxdad) — Noke got the attention, but W&L got the hardware. An ODAC championship for the Gennies and a nice run to finish the season. #9. (thatsmell) — #18 A good team that controlled games and won a lot of them but couldn't distinguish themselves from the pack. (wheniwasakid...)

Tufts: Could not get it done in the NESCAC when it counted. (corkscrew) — #15--Another team that slumped at the end of the season. (general21111) — #12 ... Jumbos need to rebound next year. (goalielax10) — My #10. Finished the season losing to Wesleyan in the NESCAC championship game and losing to Western New England in the NCAA tournament 1st round. Solid season for Tufts, who returns the deadly sophomore duo on attack of Hessler and Molly next season. (LaxUnlimited) — Disappointing finish. Three of its five losses were to teams I ranked higher. Also beat three of the teams that beat it. Quality wins against Haverford and Endicott. #13. (laxweforget) — Another NESCAC team that find a way into the tourney. (MasonDixonLine29) — Jumbos win some big ones in a tough schedule to secure a Pool C bid but cannot repeat against WNE. #13. (minkhoo) — Jumbos were stunned by WNEC. Daly's club expected a better NCAA performance after losing the NESCAC championship game to Wesleyan. (stamp) — #14. (stewlaxdad) — #11. (thatsmell) — #10 Athletic team that just couldn't pull it together. Will be dangerous for AT LEAST two more years with their current crop of players. (wheniwasakid...)

Geneseo: A one-goals loss to ... see Ithaca!! (corkscrew) — #9--Kept out of the dance by weak schedule and one goal loss to the champion. (general21111) — #15 ... Kind of in the same boat as Ithaca ... always well coached. (goalielax10) — My #16. 12-2 overall and finished 6-0 in the SUNY Athletic Conference highlighted by their 8-6 win over Cortland. Very tough way to end the season in the conference championship losing 13-14 to national champion Cortland. It is scary to think, but IF Geneseo did beat Cortland in their conference championships, the national champion Dragons would have been left out of the NCAA tournament. (LaxUnlimited) — Very difficult to rank this team due to its weak schedule. Actually outscored Cortland 21-20 in its two meetings. #7. (laxweforget) — Big win over Cortland; couldn't win when it counted; need to upgrade out of conference schedule. (MasonDixonLine29) — Blue Knights hold the unenviable title of best team not to make the NCAA tourney. Unfortunately, there are just not enough Pool C bids for all the deserving teams. #8. (minkhoo) — Didn't get the NCAA invite, but nevertheless a great season at 12 and 1. (stamp) — #18 Good team that fell victim to a weak schedule when they couldn't pull off winning their conference. Hopefully the coaching staff learned the lesson and will improve the quality of the 2010 schedule. (stewlaxdad) — Beat Cortland in early April but couldn't do it in the conference tourney and just didn't have enough punch in their schedule to get a bid. #14. (thatsmell) — #9 one of the best teams to miss the tournament. With only two losses, hard to rank them lower. With only one good win, hard to rank them any higher. (wheniwasakid...)

Haverford: Exposed in the end but great job with a young team. Look out in 2010. (corkscrew) — #14--Slumped at the end with big losses to Gettysburg and Salisbury. (general21111) — #9 ... Salisbury was just better than them ... Dark horse pick in the South next year, as they are loaded with O firepower coming back. (goalielax10) — My #11. Went 8-0 in the Centennial Conference during the regular season and ended up losing in the conference title game 12-5 to the Bullets. Ended their season with a 10-16 loss to Salisbury in the NCAA tournament. (LaxUnlimited) — Faded beginning in mid April. All four of its losses were to teams in my Top 20. Also beat two teams in my Top 20. #14. (laxweforget) — Black Squirrels have a solid season but can't quite overcome a resurgent Gettysburg and Salisbury in the end. #14. (minkhoo) — Fords drew Salisbury in their first NCAA match-up and their 2009 season came to an abrupt end. (stamp) — #11 Had a good season overall - started well but didn't make much improvement as time went on. (stewlaxdad) — Outscored 62-55 in the last six games of the season. #13. (thatsmell) — #14 The two losses to end their season showed that the gap wasn't huge between the Fords and the top 10, but it was certainly there. (wheniwasakid...)

St. Lawrence: Close loss to Middlebury, but with five All-Americans would expect more from this team. (corkscrew) — #16--Beat Clarkson and Naz but could not handle Middlebury in the tournament. (general21111) — #13 ... Larrie land will have some holes to fill. (goalielax10) — My #19. Went 6-0 in the Liberty League. Finished 13-4 overall, losing to Haverford, Bowdoin, Cortland State, and Middlebury. (LaxUnlimited) — I think there is a big drop off after the top 17 teams. 0-4 against teams in my Top 20. Best wins were vs. Nazareth and Clarkson (twice each). #19. (laxweforget) — Nice run in conference and NCAA tourneys. (MasonDixonLine29) — Saints show their continued dominance of the Liberty again and score a first round NCAA win against Nazareth. #15. (minkhoo) — The Saints took care of business against Nazareth and followed that with a respectable effort against Middlebury on the road. (stamp) — #13. (stewlaxdad) — 13-4. #18. (thatsmell) — #11 Talented and hard-nosed. Imagine what they could have done this year with McKee still on the roster! One of the top teams in NY. (wheniwasakid...)

Cabrini: Took Stevenson to the wire. A good team that just could not seem to beat the elite programs. (corkscrew) — #13--Close loss to Stevenson eliminated them from the tournament. (general21111) — #17 ... Cavs are getting there. (goalielax10) — My #13. Disappointing season for Cabrini after the high pre-season ranks and predictions. Their only four losses came against ranked opponents in Lynchburg, Gettysburg, Roanoke, and Stevenson. Looking forward in seeing if Grugan can post the same high stats without Reimer next season. (LaxUnlimited) — All four losses were to teams I have ranked above it in my poll. Aside from Haverford, no wins over quality teams. #16. (laxweforget) — Cavaliers has a solid year winning the CSAC easily and playing a difficult out of conference schedule, going 3-3 against NCAA teams. #16. (minkhoo) — Fell one goal shy against Stevenson in the Sweet 16. (stamp) — #16 Another year of beat-downs on the conference teams and what might have beens against quality teams. Proved they were way over-hyped at the start of the season. (stewlaxdad) — Again proved Cabrini can't be taken lightly. Talent all over the field. Great season for the Cavs. Gave a very tough Stevenson team all they could handle behind excellent goalkeeping. (thatsmell) — #16 Ran into a tough Stevenson teams and lost by one to end the season. A tougher schedule might help Cabrini next year. (wheniwasakid...)

Endicott: Fizzed down the stretch. (corkscrew) — #17--Good season but knocked out of tournament by WNEC. (general21111) — My #17. Finished 2nd in the Commonwealth Coast Conference at 7-1 in the division. Losing twice to Western New England kept this team out of the NCAA tournament and without another conference title. (LaxUnlimited) — Only bad loss was to Colby. That and not making NCAA tournament field (and getting the opportunity to beat some quality opponents) probably hurt its ranking by a few slots at least. #17. (laxweforget) — ECAC champion Gulls had a great year but could not secure a scarce Pool C bid, going 1-3 vs. NCAA teams. #18. (minkhoo) — Started the 2009 season very strong but faded. New crop of younger players should step up next season. (stamp) — #19. (stewlaxdad) — ECAC championship for the Power Gulls. #17. (thatsmell) — #17. A really good team that didn't make the NCAAs ... four really good options on offense, a good keeper, and a few good poles, but the talent level really drops off after that. Lots of work to do in Beverly next year. (wheniwasakid...)

Lynchburg: Rebuilding year in Lynchburg. Hammered by Roanoke and lost to W&L in ODAC semis. (corkscrew) — #18--Good season by relatively young team. (general21111) — My #15. This season was a huge roller-coaster for the Hornets. Finished with a 6-1 record in the ODAC. Ended the season losing to Washington & Lee 11-12 after beating that same team a week earlier 10-7. Need to replace over 100 points on attack with Tolson and Mundorf graduating. (LaxUnlimited) — All five losses were to teams I have ranked above it in my poll. Beat three teams in my Top 20. #15. (laxweforget) — The Hornets were a dangerous team, but all five losses were to NCAA tourney teams. #17. (minkhoo) — #20. (stewlaxdad) — A good, not great season for the young Hornets. But they gained a lot of good game experience. #16. (thatsmell) — #20 Decent season, but the ODAC wasn't great this year. Hornets need to regroup in the off season. (wheniwasakid...)

Springfield: #14 ... Springfield is always a solid team. (goalielax10) — My #18. Won its second-consecutive Pilgrim Lacrosse League title finishing 7-0 in the division. Springfield ended their season with a 15-12 loss to national champion Cortland in the NCAA tournament 1st round. (LaxUnlimited) — Great effort by the Springfield Pride against Cortland on the road in the Sweet 16. (stamp) — #12. (stewlaxdad)

Bowdoin: Solid season. (corkscrew) — #19. (general21111) — I think there is a big drop off after the top 17 teams. This six-loss team is #18 by virtue of three wins over teams in my Top 20. (laxweforget) — Polar Bears finish 4-3 against NCAA teams but not quite enough in the tough NESCAC. #20. (minkhoo) — #17. (stewlaxdad) — #15 A good but not great team with a good D but inconsistent O. Solid athletes but team didn't gel like they needed to. (wheniwasakid...)

Nazareth: #18 ... Great turnaround of the season ... Seemed to run out of gas ... Maybe the most dangerous team in the E8 next year. (goalielax10) — Nice run through E8 tourney to get bid into NCAAs; should return a strong squad for a really good E8. (MasonDixonLine29) — Flyers finish with a flourish after a so-so season that contained two three-game losing streaks. The E8 champs may have kept both Ithaca and Geneseo out of the NCAAs. #19. (minkhoo) — Early exit from the NCAAs at the hands of St. Lawrence. (stamp)

Eastern Connecticut: Better team than most give credit to; well coached!! (MasonDixonLine29) — Little East champ Warriors get a first round NCAA win. #23. (minkhoo) — Solid season and a gutsy effort against Wesleyan on the road in the sweet 16. (stamp) — Little East championship and good NCAA showing. #19. (thatsmell)

St. John Fisher: Beat Stevens when it counted. (corkscrew) — #24. (general21111) — Should be strong again next year and will need to be as E8 will be a conference to deal with next spring. (MasonDixonLine29) — Cardinals get to the E8 finals and had a pretty solid season. #21. (minkhoo) — 15-3, with some solid wins. #20. (thatsmell)

Ohio Wesleyan: #19 ... Denison has passed the Bishops, but they still have some talent. (goalielax10) — My #20. Finished 2nd in the NCAC with a 4-1 division record. The Bishops had two unacceptable performances against their rival Denison this year, losing both games 17-9 and 12-2. The Bishops East Coast spring trip against Salisbury, Gettysburg, and Lynchburg continues to keep this team outside of the top 15. I know it sounds near impossible, but the Bishops might need to bring Rogers from Syracuse back or Pressler from Bryant back to coach and bring this historic D3 lacrosse program back to the top. (LaxUnlimited) — Gave OWU the #20 spot over Eastern Connecticut, Clarkson, and Trinity because, unlike those teams, all its losses were to teams in my Top 20. (laxweforget) — Battling Bishops secure a Pool B bid but finish 0-4 versus NCAA teams. #24. (minkhoo)

Stevens: #21. (general21111) — #20 ... ECAC title. (goalielax10) — Ducks suffer through a tough season with some very tight losses. #22. (minkhoo) — ECAC championship. #22. (thatsmell)

Skidmore: #19 A good team that always seems to be improving, but they need to make the next step. (wheniwasakid...)

Clarkson: #20. (general21111)

Fairleigh Dickinson: MAC champion Devils nearly take down W&L. #25. (minkhoo)

Other Teams Pollsters Considered (and comments, if any)

Williams: #22. (general21111)

Trinity: #23. (general21111)

Colby: #25. (general21111)

RIT: Not in conference tourney for first time in awhile; have almost entire team returning (lose one senior); E8 next year will be very strong and competitive. (MasonDixonLine29)

McDaniel: #21. A very tough, young team. 10-6 with lots of close losses to good teams. Watch out for McDaniel in 2010. (thatsmell)
